Discussing the expansion of chick-pea based products in sustainable plant-based solutions: Pre-summit interview with Taly Nechushtan, CEO, InnovoPro

Can you tell us more about InnovoPro’s technology and the potential it has to revolutionize the food system?

InnovoPro is committed to bringing unique plant-based protein platform to the global food & beverage market, for creating nutritious, tasty, and sustainable food products. We developed a proprietary extraction process of 70% chickpea protein concentrate from chickpeas, and our ingredient platform addresses large fast-growing plant-based categories in need of improved protein solutions. How does InnovoPro work with industry partners and players to enable scale-up and adoption?

InnovoPro has strong commercial traction with dozens of customers with products on the market, including a few multinationals, like Migros, the giant Swiss retailer.
To create the best chickpea protein solutions, we have joined forces with world-known strategic partners like Ingredion, the world’s leading global ingredient solutions,and Givaudan, a world-renowned flavor-house.We expect to continue to promote and achieve strong traction in the US market as a whole with a large focus on both retail and food service providers, as many of our customers are currently developing and launching great-tasting products such as plant-based cheese, ice cream, beverages, and more.

Where do you see the biggest opportunities in the alternative protein sector? What new breakthroughs are you excited about in the next 2-3 years?

The next-gen of global consumers demand sustainable, clean label products, and the market is searching for cleaner tasting, highly nutritional, and more sustainable plant-based solutions to address these needs. In the next years ahead, InnovoPro intends to significantly increase its growth trajectory and build a global chickpea-based ingredient platform to inspire health and wellness-focused consumers.

You previously presented as an early-stage start-up at Future Food-Tech. What advice would you give to an ambitious entrepreneur who has a similar ambition as you to transform the food system?

My two cents would be: make sure you are surrounded by people driven by passion, be ready to constantly reinvent yourself, and most importantly, start each day by asking, “Why am I doing this?” and do not let detractors change your answer.
